VIC:Driver jailed for killing grandfather

The widow of a Melbourne grandfather killed by a speeding drink driver says she's insulted
that his killer could walk free from prison in three years.

25-year old MATTHEW OWEN WOODCOCK had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.139 and was
travelling at 130 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone when he slammed into pedestrian DAVID
JESSOPP in February this year.

WOODCOCK was jailed for five years in the Victorian County Court today .. but could
walk free after serving his three-year non-parole period.

Mr JESSOPP'S widow JACQUELINE burst into tears and stormed out of court .. telling
reporters the judge had placed too much emphasis on WOODCOCK rather than his victim.
