Type: News

DocuSign, a provider of electronic signatures, announced that Security Service Federal Credit Union has selected DocuSign's electronic signature service as the final leg in its online account acquisition process.

According to a release, SSFCU anticipates the DocuSign service will be fully implemented for member use in the first quarter of 2011.
"DocuSign provided the best solution for us to achieve greater efficiencies while providing a positive member experience," said Aaron Leek, vice president for online services at SSFCU. "We thoroughly vetted DocuSign and concluded that it led in best practices. DocuSign offered the best method for our members to quickly, easily and securely sign online. DocuSign has helped us provide additional services to our members while reducing costs enterprise-wide."

Previously, SSFCU members opening accounts online could not complete the process electronically as there was no mechanism in place to capture the member's signature. With DocuSign, SSFCU members can complete and electronically sign new account forms from Internet-connected devices.

SSFCU added DocuSign's optional ID Check authentication feature, provided through RSA, a provider of identity verification. DocuSign ID Check is a knowledge-based authentication method that validates the identity of a signer. Results of DocuSign ID Check authentication are recorded securely as part of the signing record.

Security Service Federal Credit Union offers financial products and services to members in Texas, Colorado, and Utah.

DocuSign is the electronic signature cloud platform provider.
