Faults force Citroen to 'upgrade' the new C5.

Citroen says the recall of 100,000 C5 models is an "upgrade" to fix several small problems and is not safety related.

Sales of the C5 began in spring 2001. The recall was ordered at the end of the year after a dozen or so faults had been identified.

Some problems were caused by defective parts, others by design errors, said spokesman Jean-Pierre Duvivier.
